Nikolay Mihaylov
BIOGRAPHY
Nikolay Mihaylov is a director, producer and animator born in 1978 in Sofia.
He graduated as Animation Director from New Bulgarian University in 2009, and has over 18 years of experience working in broadcast and motion design, corporate presentations and film productions. Supervised and directed over 20 architectural films in several companies for projects in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Nikolay is an VFX animator and graphic designer in 3 feature films:

“Cerise“, 2015 - feature film, 90 min, dir. Jérôme Enrico. Graphic design in the Art department.

“Legend of the white boar”, 2005 - TV feature film, 60 min, Dir. Ivaylo Dzhambazov, Bulgarian Nation Television. CGI animation and effects.

“The pink pelican reserve”, 2004 - TV feature film, 59 Dir. Ivaylo Dzhambazov, Bulgarian Nation Television. CGI animation and effects.
Since 2003, Nikolay has been teaching courses in 3D Computer Graphics, Animation and Design at several universities in Sofia - UACEG, NAA, VTU, Telerik Academy and Softuni.
In 2010 he lead a web development team from Despark to create the biggest Bulgarian portfolio network - CGArt.eu, serving as CEO and editor in chief.
Nikolay is currently exploring mobile technology and designing apps targeted at film enthusiasts and professionals.
“Innovative Teachers” is Nikolay`s latest documentary feature film project in development.
